About Daniel F. Bracker
Daniel Falk Bracker is a philosopher and postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he conducts research on artificial intelligence, and a visiting lecturer in the philosophy of AI at The New School in New York City. In his dissertation, he examined what happens to our judgment when we rely on language models in our thinking. In the process, he coined the term “slacking”: the habit of leaving value judgments to AI in order to avoid uncertainty and internal conflict. Previously, he worked with AI systems at Oracle and as a lawyer specializing in European law in Luxembourg and Brussels.
